I have AT&T so your mileage may vary but...



dial 011 to access international dialing



dial 81 (country code for Japan)



dial the city code (omitting a leading 0 if present!)



dial the number you are calling





Note: the city code is probably already prefixed to the number you were

given, in that case make sure you are not dialing it twice.
