Greg, A few ideas follow. Jackson Racing header. K&N filtercharger or Akimoto, see below entry: NACA duct or other modification to air intake system Jackson Racing or Borla cat back exhaust One thing I didn't mention is advancing the timing to 14 degrees BTDC. This will give you more low end torque, but decrease the top end speed. So, you won't be able to go 118 mph, maybe only 113 or so. :> Up to you. Advancing the timing DOES give you more pep in most driving situations, I can attest to that. So, basically speaking, you make it easier for the engine to breathe, thus making it more efficient, so it can do it's job better and with less restriction, thus increasing power. FWIW, cubic inches usually translate into power, and there's only so much you can do. But, these steps will help, and for not *that* much money. Remember, one MSU=$50.00 U.S. (*MSU=Miata Spending Unit). Tom & Mimi Hereford, AZ At 06:40 AM 1/1/97 -0500, Gregory G.
