Folks -



My issue of Automobile Feb. 1997 just came in today, and, no surprise, 

the editors named the Miata an All-Star for the 7th year in a row.  Here 

are a couple of quotes from the article:



"Three prestigious German car companies have decided to give Miata 

drivers a place to go when the fun wears off.  We had two of their 

offerings along on our All-Stars run around the Cumberland Plateau and 

were nearly unanimous in naming Mazda's aging roadster a better buy than 

either of them.  The Mercedes-Benz SLK or the BMW Z3 might get you a 

better parking place at your favorite eatery, but the Miata will give you 

a better appetite by the time you get there."



"But after all this time, its brilliance simply left the high-dollar 

pretenders dusted.  The fun factor makes the Miata an All-Star for the 

seventh consecutive year."



Fun wearing off?  Not the best choice of words, but they chose the right 

roadster.
