I've just finished ordering two GReddy kits, one to be installed on my 1990 with 53,000kms and the other to be installed on a friend's 1993 black/red with 70,000kms. First off, no, I didn't pay for both, merely got the air-miles for both. We ordered them from Andrew Nam at Minnam Racing in Richmond BC (awc@direct.ca or www.newweb.com/Minnam) for $1769 Canadian (around $1290 US), plus a turbo timer for $100. They are in the midst of having their annual winter sale, until Jan 11, 1997. A lot of deliberation went into this purchase, and we've been e-mailing Andrew back and forth for over two weeks, asking all sorts of questions relating to the kit, installation, pros/cons, Norm Garrett's review, and other add-ons. It certainly is THE kit if you want a bit more power, and don't need to add things on afterwards. The entry price is right, but the upgrades are pricey, so if all you're after is a mild boost (similar to the Sebring) but don't want the added expense, this is it. I've also spoken to a number of knowledgeable people concerning GReddy/TRust products, and have heard no real complaints. The kit consists of the turbo (Mitsubishi TD-04), the exhaust components, a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, and other odds'n'ends. The a-pillar boost gauge mount can be bought there, or from Bill Cardell. The addition of a turbo timer is also recommended, as this turbo kit runs off engine oil, but does it differently than BBR did with their kit, which required a new oil pan with oil line fittings. GReedy found two that are already existing. According to Andrew, the kits are in stock with GReddy/TRust, and ours should be in Richmond on the 10th of this month... :-) Installation will commence when things get a bit warmer. I already have a J&S knock sensor on order, which solves the obvious problem of timing. Some of the main reasons that I ended up choosing this kit were the price (next cheapest alternative in Canada would be the Sebring at around $4000 landed at my door), and the fact that the power level won't be too great for winter use, which the car still does. As for the split sizes for rims, I remember reading that Millen stated that the 15x8 rims will only fit the rears of the 1990-93 Miatas. The 1994+ cars can only take a 7" rim all around.
