Classification: Prologue: Epilogue: bt jeff, could you clarify your statement here? I could read it that 1) the fix doesn't work on the 96 and newer radios, or 2) the fix isn't necessary for the 96 and newer (i'm not sanguine about this one) and having a 96, inquiring minds... and even more to the point, i cut the package tray on saturday to install the 6.5 MB Quart coaxs. quickly deduced that i didn't want to run the treble there (way to much soundstage behind me, but i could either use the headrest runs to drive the rear channel (absent bandpass filters, which i figure you are routing around in the old boxes) giving me my fade back, or i could put all my mb quart tweeters in the headrests and get wonderful treble right by my ears, getting fade by splitting the (front, speaker-level) signal through two reducers rather than just a single one as i do presently. gotta admit, those 6.5s on the parcel tray do add awesome assistance to the 'presence' - wow! i'm wondering now if travelling without the bazooka will be more palatable...naah...
