Subject: Sometimes Hard to Put In Reverse

If I'm driving slowly in 1st, disengage the clutch, stop, and then try to shift

from 1st to reverse, often the shifter won't go into reverse *unless* I first

put the gearshift in neutral, let up the clutch pedal, press down the clutch

pedal and then put the shifter into reverse again.



Is this normal? Or is it the first sign of something wearing out or needing

adjustment? I have a '91 with 27 - yes, only 27K miles.
