This was discussed a while back, there were other wierd symptoms, too- I

think it did some bizarre things to the a/c, too.  There is a fuse in the fan

speed control resistor array, it resides between the resistors for the medium

high and high speeds, if it opens, all but full tilt will go away.  



On the '96s, the blower resistor lives under the dash, near the blower motor

somewhere.  (I'm not exactly sure where).  I don't know if it's something

that can be fixed or if it must be replaced.
