     As some of the members of this list may remember (perhaps with horror),

occasionally I'd bother you all with non Miata questions, like,"what's a

good handling car for 5 people?", and "anyone have a BMW E28 535is in the

Tucson area?", or "anyone have a Mercedes-Benz 300E in the Tucson area?",

etc. ad infinitum.

     The search is over.  Mimi has a new friend.  His name (we think) is Max.

Short for the "maximum car" (that holds more than two people, natch).  He's

a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300E, smoke silver with a beige leather interior.  He

has 95000 miles on him (just broken in for a MB) and who got to drive him

home from Tucson?  She Who Must Be Obeyed II (credit to PhRedd for SWMBO I).

Of course, I was driving Mimi, so all was not bad.  Top down, again (Matt),

only managed to hit 90 today, more traffic on a Saturday, I guess.  I'd love

to try Max at autox, but I told SHMBO II that I wouldn't.  At least, not for

now (fingers crossed).
