My Jackson Racing sway bars came in last week from DlrAlt. The mid-day temperatures here in Chicago hit the upper 30's (F) yesterday, so I put them in. Front Bars: About three hours. Those of you without power steering or ABS can probably do this job in half the time. For me, hoses for these things got in the way and their mounting brackets had to be undone. Either way, I think you still have to drain the radiator and remove the lower hose to allow the bars to come out and go in. It might be different if the car was on a a lift or stands instead of ramps. It might then be possible to turn the front wheels and wiggle out the bars? Rear Bars: Less than an hour. The rear bars have three mounting holes. I chose the middle hole because it corresponded to the same geometry as the stock bar. A question for the list. Does the most inward hole correspond to the most stiffest setting? I know Bill Cardell could answer this immediately, but he's probably out on his bike this Sunday morning. IMHO, these sway bars rank next to the timing advance as one of the better lower cost performance upgrades. Now I'm going out in my miata to enjoy the rest of this morning.
