How can you say that of my thriving metropolis of Palisade, population 2200? Speaking of which, there are occasional downsides to small town living... Hazards of a small town. Teri came home last night with a delightful story. During a "Violence in the Workplace" workshop, she was introduced to a Palisade cop. He said "Are you the Teri that lives on Main St with all the sports cars?". She said yes and noticed that he blushed. She asked what the story was and---Turns out the police have been keeping an eye on a local that they think is dealing drugs. Saw him standing in the park across the street from our house with a cardboard box filled with poppy seeds, so went to have a little chat with him. During the course of their conversation they apparently mentioned that they had their eye on him and he replied "If you want the drug dealers in town, it's those people that live at 541 Main St. They have expensive sports cars, UPS packages constantly coming and going, plus sports cars from out of state are always stopping in, especially New Mexico. They even had a bunch of cars from NJ there!" So, the cops checked us out (unbeknownst to us). When the local cop met Teri and found out she works for the Sheriff, he had to blush... Kind of scary though, just because we have more expensive cars than the median in this farmtown, we must be drug dealers. BTW, Sam Sharp is the New Mexico connection (Sam's wife's Tupperware business is no doubt a great way to transport all the drugs to our place without them being sniffed out....) and the DelVal club's Spinning Wheels tour stopped here on the way back from Seattle. Glad we've got shades on the windows... ;-) bill and it's up to 55 degrees here today -- The Dealer Alternative, Inc 970-464-0878 "We make Miatas fly!" http://www.miata.net/dealer_alt/
