From: (none) Subject: faded paint below trunk Date: (none)
I recently bought a red '91 B pkg with 18K miles. The car was garaged at previous owner's home & parked under a canopy at their place of work. The paint looks show-room new in most places. However, it is noticeably faded on that piece of plastic that sits between the brake lights. I think I noticed this on other Miatas that I looked at. Does anyone know of a solution for this? Is removing & painting this piece feasible? This car was in a minor wreck before I owned it. A rear-end bump at a toll booth - damage in the < $300 range and I don't think the body part in question was affected. Any ideas?
