I just wanted to tell everyone that has been thinking about doing an autocross and hasn't to GET THE HELL OUT THERE. It was awesome. Many, many, many thanks to Doug Quara (on this list somewhere) who helped me immensely and without which I probably wouldn't even have gone. He lent me his helmet and walked the track with me and gave me all the advice I needed. And I can blame him now when I decide to go buy racing tires. The first thing I learned is how UN-important your car is (relatively). The second fastest time of the day was in a B Stock Miata. More than 10 seconds faster than my best time in my slightly modified (putting me in CSP) car. I didn't do great, but Doug and several people said I did very well for my first time... So, already I can tell you that I will doing it again. And once again, it's the driver, the driver, the driver... That was real easy to figure out. And if you've never gone and are scared, concerned, nervous, chicken, embarassed... Just forget and go. You'll like it. Now, having said that, I think my next modifications are a helmet and racing pedals! | Tony Schreiber, Creative Director _` | | | __ \ _ \ TheNet Digital Services, Inc.
