Should I > try replacing it without the washer it came with? I didn't fight it, the new bolts are a lot lower than the hardtop posts, but I was lazy. If you get good results by removing the teflon washers, let me know. I might try it. To those wondering, the washers don't just slip off, I think you have to cut them off, or at least unscrew them. > When I went to remove the passenger's side F-bolt, just the top of the bolt > came off, leaving a threaded stud sticking out of the chrome plate. How do > I get that sucker loose to remove it and replace it with the regular bolt? Go down to the local hardware store and get 2 nuts of the same size and pitch as the bolt (use the other post as a sample). Run one nut down on the post and follow with the second one. Tighten the two nuts against each other and use a wrench to turn the bottom nut. This should extract the bolt. -John
