Bill,

This is the reason for a recent post of mine, on the possibility of 

timing drift in the Miata.  The last time mine was set, it was 8 degrees. 

 Very recently, I decided to bump it to 10 degrees (I have a SC). It was 

found at 11 degrees, already!



I have a timing light coming, that will be handy to use.  I plan to do 

some frequent monitoring.
