Alan Dahl <alan.dahl@attws.com Tue, 1 Apr 1997 14:03 asked for the

radio's short plug pins to allow the radio to work without the CD

installed.



To do it:

1. Short pins 1 and 2 together (left channel CD bypass)

2. Short pins 3 and 4 together (right channel CD bypass)



The pins are numbered on the radio's round black socket.



Please do let us know about getting your CD fixed at United Radio for

$145.  If that's a flat fee covering all all possibilities it's not

necessarily a bad price.  I've seen extremely good work in some radios

that's been to them, but not in all.  They do seem to have had some

trouble getting the radio's no turn-on problem fixed the first time.
