I've had my 95 R for 14 mos now, some comments:

1. The Bilsteins are certainly stiff, and tend to b/jounce on bumpy surfaces. 

2. The power steering is not something I am comfortable using (a friend has

it) it turns sooo quickly, and is not as communicative when you are running

out of traction :>)

3. I would still like to see stiffer springs.

4. If you are driving lots on long trips, you may not like how rigid the

shocks are: so get some adjustables.

5. Custom rims are cheep, and you can get decent tires on them.

I would buy the R again, but it may not be for everyone. As usual, YMMV
