Welcome Bert and Debbie! Regarding your bent headlight cover, this happens all the time. Especially if you don't keep a sharp eye on the attendants at Jiffy Lube (all the more reason to change your own oil)! Anyway, all you have to do is lift the hood and *gently* lift up on the edge that's bent. They'll straighten right up in no time! kjw & ICE-CUBE ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Howdy! Author: NOPROP.miata4 at XMAIL Date: 4/1/97 9:05 AM For my wife, yesterday, I picked up a 1992 Crystal White, A package, with AC. It has 37K miles, stock as can be, body good aside from a few door dings, and mechanically like new. I bought it for $9700. I'm in Colorado Springs, CO for reference. This is an EXCELLENT price on a car in this condition around here... Four slight defects on it, but hey, how much closer to perfection can you get than a spring day with your Miata top down? 8^} 1) idiot looking wood trim around the center instruments and along the doors under the ridge. Luckily just a few tiny screw holes that can probably be vinyl patched, after I took it all off. 2) one slightly bent headlight cover. VERY slight. Like someone sat on it. 3) a less than factory perfect, but still decent, new plastic window was sewn in sometime recently. Saves me having to mess with it for a few years since the rest of the top is in perfect shape. 4) missing the tray under the stock anti-theft stereo/cassette player. I didnt know it was gone until I took the 'idiot' wood trim panel off. Who'd a thunk it was missing? Shouldn't be too hard to replace. Looking forward to keeping up with all the Miata info/stories on the list. Bert and Debbie Grubbs
