Mark, There is not a reason in the world that the R Package can't be exactly what you want, and also be available to others who appreciate its value and components but who want more options. All Mazda would have to do is make the R package available on ANY Miata. That would simple maximize choice for all. You could have yours with air and no power steering. I could have mine with power steering and, say, the touring package. Someone else could have the "R" on the Marina Green M Edition; this would make that model even better in several ways than the very nice 1993 Black/Red LE.
