I have always thought the Snow God has a special helper who checks my car for cleanliness and reads my mind before issuing the okay for snow-fall, as it invariably snows/rains/gets crappy anytime I wash the car, or even think seriously about it. Well, I finally decided it was time to get the Miata out of the shed on Sunday night. It's been as sunny and warm as Spring ever since Christmas up here in NE, and I was tired of the trusty Civic. Being a choir boy must have paid off, for I could not find the little button do-hicky to turn off the alarm after re-attaching the battery (the valet switch is broken). Apparently, my alarm system disables the starter as well as making noise, so, try as I might, I couldn't start old Bessy. She's staying in the driveway of Dad's house for a few more days. But the Snow God knew something was up. Today, after the driest winter in living memory, just in case I was able to get the car started, I wake up to find 30, yes THIRTY INCHES of snow in the driveway. The biggest blizzard in many years, snow emergency, everything shut down, all because I just TRIED to get my Miata out of storage. My apologies to all NE Miateers. Its my fault. I just wonder what would have happened if I HAD gotten her started... Mac '90 MBRG Team Snow-shovel
