The panel is hanging on the top of the door, along the slot that the window disappears into. You just have to lift it straight up an inch or so. You may have to wiggle it. Once you get that door off, you'll find clear plastic covering all of the access holes back there. If you're gonna put in power door locks, you'll need to remove it, but you're gonna want to put it back. It's attached with some black goopy stuff like road tar from hell. It's easier to work with cool rather than hot, but it's sticky stuff, regardless. You may want to have some new plastic and more goopy stuff to put things back together, but you may be able to re-use what you've got if you're careful. I've never actually gone that far, so I can't speak from experience, but I'm sure some others can. Have fun. After removing all screws and door trim panel fasteners, how exactly does the panel come off? Is the panel hanging on anything? Do I have to yank upwards? It doesn't simply fall off the door after removing that last fastener, does it? I am thinking of installing power door locks, but would like to know what is in store for me. Ricky W.
