Okay, here is a scoop from Japan.



Next Roadster (Well, Miata in US) will be equipped with very similar

headlight as RX-01 which was shown at Tokyo Auto Show in 1996.  This

head light is very light weight which helps the Roadster's performance

by a lot (Anything in front of the front tires should be light as

possible).

And in Japan spec, there will be a option of 1.6 & 1.8 engine setups

available.  manual Transmission will be 6speed. which will be built by

part of Yamaha Group.  There is no plan or Tiptronics semi-automatic

shift at this time.



Style:  Very similar but more refined than the current model.  rear

combination lights will still has the old look, but much more modern

looking.  No more pop-up headlights, and size will remain about the

same. (Thank God!)



Well, when will you see this baby?  It should be ready by Tokyo Auto

Show.  And if it gets good credit, they will start taking orders(for

Japan), if not, they will wait till next spring for the offical release.
