I recall that question coming up early in the production run (1991 or so) and

Mazda replying that they did not make factory cruise available for dealer

installation (or owner installation either, for that matter)  because of the

potential dangers involved with messing with wiring in or around the air bag

steering wheel.  And since that pre-dates this listserv or atleast my

subscription to it, I must have read that in Miata Mag as that was the only

info source available to me at that time.  Maybe someone else has the time to

re-read all those letters in the early issues, I don't.
