Unfortunately, as long as the Internet passes through unix boxes, the =

"standard" is 7-bit ASCII. Even were the 8th bit retained, you'd =

still run up against font differences across client platforms. And =

that doesn't begin to address international character set differences =

among all the countries that are represented in this list.



Oh, yeah...that "whaddyacallit" is a diphthong. I'll show you mine if =
