Actually, I asked the parts dewd to go through his magic books about a month ago. I was wondering if the '97 'R' package had different part numbers for springs than the '94 'R' package. I need to lower my '97 (as I can't get as an aggressive alignment as i'd like with the stock springs). I can tell you that my '94 is a couple of inches lower than my '97 - both have stock springs. I like the '94's springs. Ok, the parts dewd looks up the various numbers. I'm doing this from memory now, so far as the part numbers go, all miata's have the same front springs, and the rear springs are different for the '97 'R'. While this is definitive, it does not jive with reality. All of the '96's & '97's that i've seen are considerably higher. the '94's and '95's that i've seen/rented/driven are either pretty low (like my '94') or kinda high. I guess Bill's experience prevails here, though i wonder if there are any high (quiet in the peanut gallery) 90's or low 96/97's. I've never seen that (without mods).
