Since I didn't want to wait for a mail order, I headed over to Pep Boys and bought a set of KoolWire plug wires ($35). These are supposed to be low resistance and extra good at radio noise suppression. They are 7mm wires. Does anyone have any experience with these. They have connectors just like the NGK's but are a disappointing grey, rather than blue. Also, they are a tad longer than they need to be, which causes they to pop up form the wire guides. Should I continue with these or go get a good set of NGK's? Since I put them in, the car still seems a little sluggish (though no stumbling). Any ideas anyone? I tried an Italian tune-up but that didn't seem to have any effect. Paul Weissman 94a Simply Red Paul, I don't think it was that brand name in particular, but I have had a bad experience with lesser-brand plug wires. Indeed they were thinner and extra-long and that not only caused installation problems, but a brief off-idle hesitation as well. Anyway, the 7.0 mm size seems a bit tiny; in fact, even the Beck/Arnleys I got were 8.0 mm. I think I would just stick with the NGKs or Racing Beats 8.0 mm plug wires (heheheh)... Anyway, I'm rather surprised that you had those problems at 28K because my stock ones lasted past the 50K mark (albeit with an occasional miss now and then) until suddenly it started sputtering and stumbling. Uh, are the stock ones 7.5 mm? I would get a plug wire that at least matches what the stock plug wire is.
