Dan and others who may be interested, I asked Tommy at Roebuck about various springs available for different model year Miatas, thinking that I might be able to get a set of springs from an earlier model Miata to lower the ride height on my '95. His reply was that the only different springs are for automatic vs. manual transmission models, otherwise they appear to be interchangeable from one year model to another. Obviously, later models kept getting higher and higher, my '95 for example, so Mazda must have elevated the spring perches on the car, rather than different springs, which is difficult to believe. Either that or Tommy is wrong (heaven forbid!). I have Tokico springs which have effectively reduced the gaping space between the top of the tire and the wheel wells and also have enhanced the handling (along with Tokico HP shocks and Jackson sway bars), but in considering going to a low profile, high performance tire on a larger wheel, I have some concerns that the ride quality might suffer to the extent that it might become very uncomfortable. Any thoughts/other solutions? Dave -- Dave Okamoto LSI Logic Corporation mailto:davo@lsil.com
