What you do is take the boot (and the car) to a shop that does a lot of convertible tops, upholstery, and the like. They can alter the boot so it fits. It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of laber, and about $.50 in materials. :-) This works best if you have a harness bar, to hold down the boot. It's likely that the alterations will cost you the straps that fasten around the top frame. Ken Warren Grand Poobah (ret.) Who just got the boot on his '96 altered as described.
