Subject: UK and CB's

 My wife and I will be travelling to the UK within the next year along with

another couple for a 2 week holiday.  We would love to be able to rent

Miatas for that time but I understand that that is not possible and so we

will have to resort to renting some form of brand X car.  Therefore my first

question to any UK netters is what type of car would you recommend we rent

that would be a fun drive?  We will be using one car per couple and so there

is no need to jam 4 people into one.  I have already looked into "Bespokes"

who rent some pretty fine cars but find these to be out of my price range.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.



Secondly, since being in the miata club and going on trips in which all cars

have CB radios we like the idea of having portable CB's for the rental cars

for the trip so that we can keep in communication with the other couple.  My

question here is - would a portable CB from here (Canada) work properly over

there in the UK (I would think they would but have very little knowledge of

such) or would I have to pick two CB's there when we arrive.
