} A few days a go I looked at a Jackson CAI installed in a miata for the } last two years. } I noticed that the black plastic cover (where Jackson is printed on) } -sorry don't know the word- was broken next to the bolts that hold it } down. } Is this due to using a torque force that is to high or is the plastic } not hard enough to withstand the constant shocks. (the car was } lowered). It's due to stresses when the engine twists. There's a compressible tube between the air sensor and the elbow on the intake which is supposed to absorb that twisting, but on mine it wasn't enough. JR has since gone to a longer tube -- so far, it seems to be working.
