From: "Kevin Morrison" <canyon3@ibm.net> Subject: Water in Turn signal Date: Sun, 1 Jun 1997 22:15:40 -0500
To the continuum: My driver side front turn signal/parking light has a bunch of water in it. How do I prevent this? Is there a gasket that should be replaced? I drove through heavy rain for about 6 hours straight this weekend. Only the one lens got water in it. Some water got into my cheap Blazer projector beam driving lights and the halogen bulbs exploded! Not pretty, but I replaced the bulbs, polished the reflectors, and all seems to be ok. I also got caught in a brief downpour on a long bridge on the interstate. I couldn't stop to put the top up so I just hunkered down and toughed it out. I didn't really get wet, but the dash and inside of the windscreen got pretty wet due to swirling wind in the cockpit. I'm going to build a KT windblocker next weekend.
