Is there a way to >bring my shiny voodoo knob back to life again?? Hmmm... I've never used Eagle brand products myself, but I have used Meguiar's #29 Mag Wheel Polish and it works just fine. Takes a bit of elbow grease, mind you, but it works. That's the mag wheel POLISH, by the way, the one intended to polish bare aluminum, not the mag wheel CLEANER that's intended for clearcoated wheels. My good friend JT prefers Mother's brand of same, saying that it's finer - more the consistency of cold cream - and therefore produces a better shine, although requiring even a bit more of that old elbow grease. I've seen his after he polishes it and it looks better than new, so I know it works. I've even used jewelry cloths and a variation on that theme that we used to use on our buckles in the Marine Corps called a Blitz Cloth. This is basically a rag impregnated with polish. It gets your hands all blue, but it also works. It can take a bit of time and effort, but I took the very first prototype knob up from just off the lathe to a polish roughly the equivalent of today's professionally-polished knobs BY HAND with one of those. It wasn't easy, it took several hours, but it can be done. The biggest problem is finding a way to hold on to the damn thing while getting an even polish on all parts of the surface. I guess my first recommendation would be the Mother's Mag Wheel POLISH. It's just an aluminum sphere, and therefore pretty hard to completely ruin, so I would say you can definitely bring it back to life with the right product and a little work. ------------------------------------ Voodoo Bob Team Voodoo proprietor San Diego Miata Club Age & Treachery Racing, Ltd. http://mmdshare.ucsd.edu/voodoo.html ------------------------------------
