Dave, I've never heard of a splitter for both 2m and 440MHz, but there are certainly either splitters or replacement antenna masts for 2m. I think that Keith Tanner (VE3BBI) has a 2m mast around, but I'm not sure if he's ever run it on his Miata. When I asked about antenna solutions last year, I got two responses. One from Keith about the replacement antenna mast, and one from Sam Sharp (KC5GZR) about a very small mag-mount. I think that was also 2m only. Personally, I shocked and dismayed everyone and permanently mounted a Diamond NR-2000 tri-bander in the center of the trunk lid. If I have to park in a questionable area, I just remove the antenna (N-connector) and put it on the back shelf. As for the radio, the I have a TM-742A, with the control head mounted below the stereo, and the RF deck mounted in the right-side trunk tunnel. There seem to be quite a few hams on the list, but not many of them are on the air from their Miatas. Who else is out there? (CQ Miata.net de N6MOD ;) How many of you have rigs in your Miata? What about call plates? 73 de N6MOD -Zandr --------------------------------------------------------------------- Aleksandr Milewski N6MOD n6mod@amt.org http://www.amt.org/n6mod/ '90 Crystal White "Starbug" MClub #220 Belmont, CA Events Coordinator Elect, BAMA
