All things being equal, the larger capacity IC will have a larger boost drop. Not really a big deal since a good intercoolers may only have a 1/2 psi boost drop. Double the size of the IC and you won't see too much more than 1 psi drop. Another serious problem with *big* intercooler occurs when they are mounted in front of the radiator-- overheating. 1.6 miatas are very prone to this. Can easily be fixed by installating a more efficient radiator (Modine, etc,.) 1.8s seem to be less prone to overheating. Shiv
