I, for one, applaud your efforts.  I have been subscribed for about 2 weeks, and

I missed the listerv while is was on hiatus.  This is a terriffic forum.  At 

first I thought that my employer (Big Brother) was monitoring my e-mail and 

blocked your site due to the high volume of mail.  I was even planning to 

tactfully ask "What Gives?"  I am glad every thing worked out and the server is 

up.  Life is now good again - Big Brother was not watching.

Hi, everyone, and welcome back.  Here's what happened, for those of you who 

are curious.

     

Andy Poling has moved.  This means that the listserver needed to move. 

Physically - packed in a box, and stuck in a van, and the usual.  Thus the 

short break late last week.  

     

The long break was unplanned.  There was a configuration problem in the new 

location, and I was too busy celebrating Canada Day with hundreds of 

thousands of my closest friends (and a Super Soaker that will throw half a 

litre of water per second) to bother checking things out.  Andy was likely 

nice and busy - you know how moving is.  Meanwhile, the listserv was down, 

the archives were down, the FTP server was down, and I've heard that 

Miata.net itself was rocky.

     

Anyhow, most of that should be behind us.  My apologies for not catching 

things sooner, and thanks to Andy for the time he spent getting it all 

working again.  He does all the hard work, while I just answer email.  The 

list seems to be okay now.

     

Just so you're all warned, I'll be out of town in 1999 for the Texas meet.....
