From: Rick Flashman <rflashma@mtholyoke.edu> Subject: Racing Style Bar II Here Finally!! Date: Sat, 2 Aug 1997 13:09:33 +0000
Well, after waiting since early May, when I got home yesterday there was a pleasant surprise waiting outside my condo's front door. A box 5 feet tall from Performance Buyers Club. Inside was a brand new Racing Beat Style Bar II. Honestly, I had almost given up on this item, as it had taken so long to get. But once I saw it, well, I dropped everything else I was going to do at that moment and spent the next hour installing it. Pretty easy installation (though the instructions from Racing Beat are not the greatest). Now I have a pretty awesome looking Miata. As the old theory goes that good things always happen at once. I also received in yesterday's mail my "Roadster" tag from Ko in NYC. He happened to have an extra one. I pulled off the MAZDA tag on the back of the car, and stuck on the new "Roadster" tag. Now my Miata is correctly named from the rear as a "Miata" on the left and "Roadster" on the right and does not have a single MAZDA tag anywhere on it (being a 1993 it has the cute "flame of passion" logo all over the place, otherwise known as "toilet seat"). So, kudos to Tommy, Kurt, and the rest of the folks at Performance Buyers Club. In case you are wondering about getting this bar yourself, it normally doesn't take as long as it took me, there was just a mixup on my case. But then again, as you learn, the true test of a vendor is how they behave when something goes wrong. Tommy jumped the gun and sent me email right away when he realized what was wrong and told me the honest answer "we goofed". That alone (along with the prompt delivery of my bar) is enough to keep me a loyal PBC buyer for a long time. Especially after hearing all the Wiz horror stories here. PBC has never lost any of my shipments. -- Rick Flashman http://www.mtholyoke.edu/~rflashma/ 93a Red (Landspeeder) Western Mass
