Subject: NMC:  Need for Speed II

My brother just gave me this game for birthday.  It looks to be truly

awesome.  After finally getting my sound card to work I installed the

game, only to get an "abort message" that says "checkwindow - BAD WINDOW

FIELD 'id.'"  It then lists the "value" as one number, and the "should

be" value as another.  Result?  The game won't run.  Any ideas?  I'm

clueless.
