There is one huge detail in your favor, the Miata is economical to own and operate. If this was "Corvette.Net" (or Trans.AM.COM), we would have to deal with $200+ bucks per tire, excessive break wear, poor gas mileage, high insurance, poor body integrity...... The MIata is easy on it's brakes (from what I have read), gets great mileage, tires can be bought for under $80 (I believe) and has an average insurance rating. I believe that this should help convince you to stay with the little roadster!
