Don't give up, except on Armor All. Any good top dressing will be water based, and will run in the rain to an extent, but Meguiar's #40 is better than most, especially if you buff it out thoroughly. Once you use #40 to clean the top, don't worry about keeping it on--the top will survive OK as long as it's clean. #40 is also great for detailing every bit of plastic in the interior and under the hood. --- Lanny Chambers, St. Louis '94C.
