Fastened the mount (same one) to the bar behind the seats and mounted an older Sony Hi8. Lots of shakes. One obvious problem is the rubber coating on the bar...not stable. Solution? Bought a new camera with stabilization. Well, actually I used some grant money and got it for the physics dept. I looked over many different cameras with the steady shot stuff and found the Sony models to have the best stabilization. Picked up the $900 TRV312 Sony for $750 through rebates plus not having to pay taxes. The difference with the stabilization is HUGE! Just be sure to turn the autofocus off. Well I guess that doesn't really help you out...just thought people might be curious if steady shot makes a difference :) Jason Powell...who currently has 7,271 unread miatalist messages.
