They didn't see you. They were too busy watching the temperature gauge 

creeping upward, or the oil pressure creeping downward. Some of them have 

a holier-than-thou attitude toward cars that don't require as much 

physical and financial pain to keep running. Let 'em wear their 

automotive hair shirts, while you pass them in the left lane.
