I added a GReddy at 76000 mls. Took it out again because of excessive

oil consumption. I guess something was wrong with the engine already

when I bolted the turbo on. So make sure your engine is top notch and

do a compression test AS WELL AS a pressure leakdown test.

Sebring definetely is easier to install, GReddy is an entry-level

product which lacks an intercooler (IMPORTANT), knock sensor ...

There also have been reports that the ratio of the 2nd fuel pressure

regulator is wrong so that the engine runs too rich when under boost.

Yes, probably will. According to the pope in turbocharging (Corky

Bell, GET HIS BOOK !) you can expect 90% lifetime with a good system.

Sebring is easy install, but not much upgradable. Also consider BEGI.

GReddy is cheap, but crappy instructions, no customer service (not

that bad since we have real good dealers on the list) but lacks

important parts in order to achieve the price.

Search the archives for 'The truth on the GReddy' or something.....

There's also a GReddy installation on miata.net.



I guess Espen (hi !!) can give you some hints as well.

I for myself will (have) my engine rebuilt in the coming winter and if

its ok again, I will put the GReddy in once again, this time w/
