I put a real oil pressure gauge and sender into my '96 a few months ago and believe me, changing the gauge itself is *much* easier than replacing the sender units. They are not easy to get at! I am so glad I did it, though. That idiot gauge had to go! Check places like Mazmart and Mazda Auto Recycling (where I got my gauge and sender). Much cheaper than dealers.
