(For folding up the boot) My MBFP (Miata Boot Folding Procedure): 1) Hold the boot in front of you, topside away from you. Rear of boot with black plastic edge-grabbers at your waist, snap side at your knees. 2) Swing the small outer sections out and fold them next to the next section inward from them. The stiff plastic edge-grabbers should be held as parallel to each other as possible. Note: Always fold boot topside against topside. Folding bottomside to bottomside will strain the material as the plastic edge pieces press together. 3) Repeat again one more time, (redundantly) to get to the innermost sections. You should now have two handfuls of three edge pieces each, with attached boot fabric hanging, roughly folded. 4) Fold the two handfuls together, again being sure to fold AWAY from the edge pieces. 5) Hold up by the 6 edge pieces, and make one or two horizontal creases in the folded boot to reach the desired size. I fold our boots twice in this direction, leaving a bundle that measures 19 inches by 9 inches. Of course, the limiting factor is the 19 inch-long plastic rails of the inboard sections of the boot. 6) Stuff it - into your boot pouch. Pouches can be bought or easily made. Pheew!! Now go out and practice! KidFree 2R FUNR B91A 94M (tan top to boot)
