Subject: UK experiences in Florida

Hello All,



I have just returned from an enjoyable three week trip to Florida where

my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting fellow netters Bill Gusky and

Bob Hotaling. These chaps took is out for the day and bought us lunch and,

best of all, TWO desserts. Apparently this is standard for the

Central Florida Miata Club - I'll have to see about adopting this strategy for

future UK Club events.



I'd just like to say a big thanks to Bill and Bob for putting themselves out

to drive a long distance to pick us up and then take us on a >100 mile drive

around the back roads of Florida. It's just a shame that our travel plans

didn't allow us to meet more of you while we were out there.



While I'm on I'd like to ask if anyone knows about or owns a light metallic

gold or brown (beige) miata. I saw it briefly when we were staying on

the Gulf Coast of Florida, just south of Clearwater. It was last week and

was probably in the Largo area travelling west on the 688 if I remember

rightly. I only saw it briefly when it was stopped at lights but it looked

quite nice, unfortunately I was driving in the opposite direction and

couldn't stop. I am assuming that this is not the Teal Miata that I have

heard mention of - I was never sure what colour Teal was anyway.



Any information gratefully received.
