I live in Tampa and yes, have seen the same Miata you spoke of.  Definitely 

looks like someone put a custom paint on it and yes, I think it looks hot.  

Can't tell you I know who's Miata it is, though....we've got quite a little 

population of Miatae here in the Tampa Bay area.  In fact, in reference to a 

recent thread on "waving" to other Miatae, if you were to do so, you'd 

probably end up with neck in traction from the constant swivelling in order 

to wave to every one out here.  I guess the weather here is condusive to 

Miata ownership.....?
