Agreed, but the seller had much earlier sold the car to someone who didn't want the hardtop, thus didn't have the car. > > However, since you didn't do this, do the following: > > 1. order the strikers from Tommy at PBC > 2. order the four bolts at the same time! > 3. remove each trim piece, and using the template on the backside, cut out > the areas for the strikers. > 4. reinstall the trim, install the strikers, install the hardtop, and > adjust for the best/tightest fit. > > Regarding the window heater, I believe the later model Miata's (93 on) use > a separate switch from the fan switch, so you may need to get that also. > BTW, you do have the fuse block (and possibly a relay) in the trunk, don't > you? Yes, I have the fuse box, the relay switch, and the timer box in hand but not yet mounted. I have seen - in the owner's manual the separate switch - and wonder (now) how much of this stuff I need to install the separate switch (as opposed to the fan switch). I can't believe that the timer is still needed,but... Your advice will be taken. The nice part is that from where I live, I can drive to Tommy's and ask in person. I haven't yet met Tommy but am looking forward to the event. > Lester Welch '97R "LadyBug" Red, Md. Plate "YNG AGN" CRI Horns, Belizian Shift Knob, Visorless, Front-plateless M Club, MCA, MSCW.
