A second hint - put the mirror pockets on > first - that defines the front to back positioning. Like most > things, a bit of practice really helps. I fold the cover on the car as follows: pull up the front skirt, pull up the back skirt, fold the sides up to the center once, then twice, then begin at the front and fold aft to the center of the top, then begin aft and fold forword to the top. Then pick up what's left without turning it in any direction, and ALWAYS lay it in the trunk just like that. When you take it out, just lay it on the center of the top, without turning it. That way it's always oriented right. All that said, the Lester Welch suggestion to mark it is a good one. > > Problems: what to do with a wet cover? Put in trunk. As soon as you get home, take it out and drape it over a small surface, like a stool. It will partially dry overnight. Put it on damp next day, where it will quickly dry. The amount of water carried into the trunk will be minimal, but you can daub it with a towel if it concerns you. I've never had mildew or rust, and I live in Florida. Lotsa afternoon thunderstorms. Yes, the exhaust can melt a hole in the cover. Winter: no experience. Laundry: If you must, wash in large machine. Do not tumble dry - just lay out on carpeted floor or drape on car. Dries quickly. -- Bill Gusky and Petunia Red '91, license "MOMENTS" http://www.totcon.com/users/moments DeLand, Florida "Too soon oldt, und too late schmart!"
