Had a similar problem with another car...It turned out to be the exhaust

gaskets. Seemed the headers were not bolted on tight enough, and exhaust

gases leaked making a tick kinda noise until the car heated up. the expansion

caused by the heat closed the gap enough to seal the leak temporarily. Check

your exhaust header gasket area..
