Greetings, New to the list here. Just purchased the wife a used 92 Miata. I am afraid I am a bit lost on the A model, B model, M model etc. Since we have only had the car 24 hours, one complete clean and wax job operation, are an oil change, air filter change, and spark plug change shy of a full load.. I will have to look more indepth to figure out what model little Red Beastie is. Suffice it to say, that the smile on my wife's face as she cruised at 100 mph down the German Autobahn with the top down was worth the purchase price. I jumped in here only to say.. I too am 6' tall and find the leg room no problem. However I drive a 94 Mustang GT and it is shorter in the leg room department than the Miata. Vision is a little tough for me in the Miata (the five minutes my wife let me drive it) as the top edge of the windshield seems annoyingly low for me. The 94 Mustang is stock with 2.73 rear gears. The Miata in 5th gear pulls just as well as the Mustang in 5th gear. To out accelerate my wife at 80 MPH I must down shift. She wasn't stirring the stick at all so don't know what we would find. I couldn't imagine at 100MPH she would have much options tho as she is over 5 grand. The cars matched up almost exactly for fuel use at 100 mph, getting 21.4 and 21.9 (Miata on top). Nice little car the Miata... and it makes the wife "smile" so what else is important! <G> I will be troubling you guys from time to time with tech questions as I try to get "smart" on this Miata thing.
