Since it doesn't seem to be adjustable to the different Frequency band used here in Germany we are considering replacing it. Any one have any suggestions or difficulties fitting an aftermarket Kenwood and CD changer into the car? I ask this, because I went thru the same drill on my Mustang and just by grace of God did I find out I needed a $90 adapter for the speaker setup in the car to adapt to something other than a Ford Radio. Is there a reputable aftermarket dealer in Miata parts that has a mailorder catalog? Thanks for your help in advance.. SOUP in Augsburg w/Donna and her Miata "MOOSE" ........... No real problems to fit a decent Kenwood or Blaupunkt. It won't look factory, though. There might be some problems with the headrest speakers. There might also be problems with theft, because the radios that work for the full fm band usually have the 1.0 DIN size, and that fits into nearly every car in Europe. The stock radio does not. And, most of the 1.0 DIN radios do not have a clock, so if you change you are clockless. Living in Germany, I still have the US radio in my 91A, and plan to keep it. I am pretty sure that in close to 7 years with more than 100k miles covered, and lots of parking in not perfectly safe places in Germany, Italy, France, UK, wherever ..., some potential thieves have peeped into our Miata, saw a radio with Zero resale value in Europe, and left the car untouched. I can (nearly) always listen to the FM station I like, bcause usually you can get it on even and odd frequencies, and most of the time, I listen to CDs anyway. Oooops, wrong, most of the time, I listen to the engine :) FWIW Werner
